Missouri State University's Chloe Bolte has become the first golfer from the school to receive Conference USA's Women's Golfer of the Week honor. The recognition comes after her performance at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, where she helped lead the team to a 15-stroke victory in their season opener.

Bolte, a freshman from Sumner, Iowa, tied for first place through 54 holes before losing in a sudden-death playoff to the reigning junior college national champion. She started her collegiate career with two rounds of even-par 71 at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield and finished with a three-under-par 68 in the final round. Her total score of 210 over 54 holes set a new school record, surpassing Abby Cavaiani's previous mark of 211 set in 2021.

Senior teammate Kiser Pannier from Sedalia, Missouri, finished third overall with scores of 69-68-75 for a total of 212. Together, Bolte and Pannier led the Bears to team scores of 287-288-291 for an overall total of 866—just one shot short of breaking the school's team record—and secured a strong win over runner-up Wichita State.

The Missouri State women's golf team will not compete next week but is scheduled to play at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Missouri on September 22-23.

"Missouri State's Chloe Bolte is the first Bear golfer to be honored by Conference USA as she has been named the league's Women's Golfer of the Week after her sterling performance at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial earlier in the week."

"The freshman from Sumner, Iowa led MSU to a 15-stroke win in the season opener by tying for first place through 54 holes before dropping a sudden-death playoff to the reigning junior college national champion. She opened her first collegiate tournament Monday (Sept. 8) with a pair of even-par 71's at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield before posting a three-under-par 68 in the final round. Bolte's 210 score for 54 holes also established a new school record, besting the previous mark of 211 by Abby Cavaiani in 2021."

"Teammate Kiser Pannier, a senior from Sedalia, Mo., finished third after shooting 69-68-75--212 and, together, the duo paced the Bears as the team shot 287-288-291--866, just a shot off the school team record and good for a comfortable margin over runner-up Wichita State."

"MoState is idle next week before traveling to the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo., Sept. 22-23."
