The Missouri State men's golf team concluded its season opener at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational held at Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington, West Virginia. Senior Tim Holmberg led the Bears, finishing 12th individually with a three-round total of 210. Holmberg nearly matched the school record with an opening round of 64 on Monday, followed by rounds of 73 and another 73.

The team finished 14th overall with scores of 283-291-302 for a total of 876. Eastern Kentucky secured the team championship with a score of 827, finishing at 25-under-par. Murray State placed second at 837, while Ohio, Dayton, and Marshall all tied for third with scores of 842 in the field of fifteen teams.

Sophomore Jonathan Jordan and freshman Pedro Gallegos were next for Missouri State, both recording totals of 223 to tie for 78th place. Jordan shot rounds of 72-73-78, while Gallegos posted scores of 76-72-75. Junior Owen Swearingen finished tied for 88th with rounds of 71-73-83 (227), and freshman Noah Naugle was in 92nd place after shooting rounds of 79-75-76 (230).

Missouri State will not compete next week but is scheduled to return to action September 22–23 at the Git-R-Done Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
