Senior Kiser Pannier led the Missouri State University Lady Bears Golf team on the opening day of the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Missouri. Pannier recorded a two-round total of five under par, beginning with a 69 in the morning and following up with a career-best 68 in the afternoon. Her combined score of 137 gave her a two-stroke lead over Odessa's Napajira Nami Luesattha.

The Lady Bears finished Monday with scores of 287 and 288 for a total of 575, putting them twelve shots ahead of defending tournament champion Omaha, which posted a total score of 587. Wichita State is currently third at 591, followed by Creighton (593) and Memphis (594) among the eleven teams competing.

Freshman Chloe Bolte stands in fourth place after posting an even-par total of 142 across rounds of 71-71 in her first collegiate tournament. Fellow freshman Katelyn Wilkie is tied for ninth after scoring 72-75 for a total of 147. Juniors Tierney Baumstark and Kyleigh Pfitzner are both tied for twentieth place with totals of 151; Baumstark made four consecutive birdies on the back nine during her second round to shoot a 73 after opening with a 78, while Pfitzner recorded rounds of 75 and 76. Junior Coyee Zhang sits one shot behind them in twenty-sixth place after posting scores of 72 and 80.

Sophomore Siena Minor is tied for thirty-eighth after shooting rounds of 82 and 73 for a total of 155, while sophomore Marlee Edgeman is tied for fifty-first with rounds of 82 and 79 totaling 161.

The final round is scheduled to begin Tuesday at Twin Oaks Country Club with an shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
