Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on August 19, 2025, addressing developments in federal energy policy and leadership changes within Missouri’s legal and law enforcement sectors.

In one post published at 15:19 UTC, Burlison highlighted a new initiative by the former president: "President Trump’s new Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program will fast-track deployment of advanced nuclear technologies and strengthen America’s energy leadership."

Later that day at 17:45 UTC, Burlison commented on the career of Andrew Bailey as he transitions to a national role: "Andrew Bailey served Missouri with courage and conviction. He defended life, protected the Second Amendment, and held corrupt officials accountable. His leadership as Attorney General made our state stronger, and America will benefit from his continued service at the @FBI."

Two minutes later, Burlison congratulated Catherine Hanaway on her appointment as Missouri Attorney General: "Congratulations to Catherine Hanaway on her appointment as Missouri Attorney General. She has a proven record of defending life, liberty, law and order, and protecting taxpayers from fraud. Missouri is in good hands."

Burlison succeeded Billy Long in Congress after winning election in 2022. Before his current position, he served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature—first in the House from 2009 to 2017 and then in the Senate until 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds degrees from Missouri State University.
