Rep. Eric Burlison, who represents Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 15, 2025, discussing public safety and recent federal initiatives related to nuclear energy.

In his first tweet at 14:14 UTC, Burlison addressed concerns about crime and public safety, stating, "If you live in a crime-ridden neighborhood, you don’t need an FBI spreadsheet to know the truth. You see it when you walk to your car. You hear the sirens at night. You read it in the police blotter. President Trump is making America safe again. That should be championed by all."

Later that day at 14:50 UTC, he highlighted a new initiative from former President Donald Trump: "President Trump just launched the most ambitious nuclear energy initiative in decades — the Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program — to make America the global leader in advanced nuclear power."

In a follow-up tweet at 16:00 UTC, Burlison added, "By Independence Day 2026, we could see three new advanced nuclear reactors operating right here in the United States. This is how we secure affordable, reliable, American-made energy for generations to come."

Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long and previously served in both chambers of Missouri's legislature. He was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. Burlison earned two degrees from Missouri State University by 2002.
