Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, recently posted a series of statements on his official X account addressing tax policy, national identity, and energy initiatives.

On August 11, 2025, Burlison credited the Freedom Caucus for advancing major legislative changes: "The @freedomcaucus led the fight for historic tax cuts, real entitlement reform, and slashing green energy handouts. Our vision resonates with millions of Americans who feel that their voices have been ignored in Washington."

Later that day, he commented on the symbolic importance of the nation’s capital: "The American people deserve a capital city that reflects the strength, security, and dignity of the United States."

On August 12, 2025, Burlison highlighted an energy policy development: "Big news for American energy: President Trump’s Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program is officially underway. Make Nuclear Great Again!"

Burlison has represented Missouri's 7th District in Congress since replacing Billy Long in 2023. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature—first in the House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and then in the Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and now residing in Ozark at age 46, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
