Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, published several statements on his official Twitter account on August 12, 2025, addressing issues of government accountability and alleged misconduct.

In a post made at 17:55 UTC, Burlison called for transparency from the Central Intelligence Agency regarding presidential assassinations. He wrote: "New op-ed: Congress must hold the CIA accountable. Secrecy can’t hide the truth about a president’s murder. The American people deserve answers. @jeffersonmorley @DailySignal" (August 12, 2025).

Later that day at 20:10 UTC, Burlison posted a brief message referencing social gatherings, stating: "Ice cream socials are out, Jack!" (August 12, 2025).

In another statement at 21:30 UTC, he addressed concerns about intelligence activities and political interference. Burlison asserted: "They falsified intelligence to mislead the American people, conspired to overthrow a sitting president, and then tried to throw him in jail. An egregious act of election interference. Accountability matters." (August 12, 2025).

Burlison has represented Missouri’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Billy Long in 2023 and previously served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature between 2009 and 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, he holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
