In his first tweet at 14:25 UTC, Burlison commented on recent border enforcement statistics, stating, "July border numbers are the lowest in history. 3rd straight month with zero catch-and-release. President Trump promised to secure the border—he’s delivering."
Later that day at 15:00 UTC, Burlison turned his attention to the ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein case, writing, "The countless victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his network deserve leaders who fiercely fight for justice. No political games. Demand transparency."
By the afternoon at 17:30 UTC, Burlison commented on public safety in Washington D.C., posting, "President Trump’s commitment to law and order is a welcome change for a D.C. that has allowed crime to run rampant for far too long. It's time to make our capital safe again!"
Burlison has been an active figure in Missouri politics for over a decade. Before being elected to Congress in 2023 as Billy Long's successor, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and then in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.
