Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on August 7, 2025, addressing topics ranging from military service to federal funding and census policies.

In his first post at 16:10 UTC, Burlison recognized the sacrifices made by members of the United States military: "Today we honor the incredible men and women of the United States military who were wounded or gave their lives in service to our nation. Thank you for your sacrifice."

Later that day at 17:22 UTC, he commented on U.S. government spending abroad: "Your tax dollars are funding radical gender ideology propaganda in Africa. Not a joke. Not a conspiracy. Just federal 'health' grants hard at work. Shut it down."

At 18:40 UTC, Burlison addressed the issue of census counting practices: "The Census shouldn't be counting illegal immigrants in the first place—it completely disenfranchises American citizens. Another incredible win for common sense and election security."

Burlison has served as Missouri’s representative in Congress since replacing Billy Long in 2023 and previously held seats in both the Missouri House of Representatives (2009-2017) and Missouri Senate (2019-2023). Born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976, he currently resides in Ozark and is an alumnus of Missouri State University.
