Rep. Eric Burlison addresses Pentagon secrecy and budget concerns in recent posts

Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, recently addressed issues related to government transparency and fiscal responsibility in a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 4, 2025, Burlison shared a message referencing secrecy within the federal government: "Washington is shrouded in secrets—none more elusive than the Pentagon’s crash retrieval program and UAPs. Watch my interview with @KristinFisher now on YouTube https://t.co/E3irAqqE2Y". The same day, he posted a link without additional comment: "https://t.co/ADxaTBsLcn".

On August 5, 2025, Burlison commented on upcoming congressional budget negotiations: "Congress has another budget deadline come September. Individual spending bills are probably off the table, but that's no excuse to throw caution to the wind. https://t.co/cItdv3M3HH".

Burlison has represented Missouri's 7th District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and served in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976, Burlison currently resides in Ozark and holds degrees from Missouri State University.
