Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, has recently posted several statements on social media addressing topics ranging from diversity initiatives to government transparency and tax policy.
On July 31, 2025, Burlison criticized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in a post stating, "This brazen attempt to camouflage DEI through coded language should be called out and shut down. DEI is the bane of our societal existence."
Later that day, he addressed concerns about media integrity and government influence by posting, "Let this be a lesson in how easy it is for the government to manipulate the media. We didn't trust the narrative and we were totally right to do so."
On August 1, 2025, Burlison highlighted Republican policies supporting families: "From the Trump tax cuts to child tax credits, Republicans are putting American families first."
Burlison has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Before his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, he was a member of both the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds degrees from Missouri State University.
