Rep. Eric Burlison, who represents Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 21, 2025, expressing concerns about government transparency and referencing high-profile political controversies.
In his first tweet at 15:50 UTC, Burlison stated, "From the JFK files to the Russian collusion hoax, it's clear the deep state likes to hide the truth from the American people. Uncovering the truth about Epstein needs to be a priority as well."
An hour later, he posted another message referencing Rep. Adam Schiff and past investigations: "Throwback to when Adam Schiff used his position on the Intel Committee to lie about 'extra' evidence he had on Russian collusion."
In a third tweet at 18:00 UTC, Burlison questioned governmental accountability: "Is the government truly beholden to the American people?"
Burlison has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Billy Long as representative for Missouri’s 7th district. He previously held seats in both chambers of Missouri's legislature—serving in the House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison is an alumnus of Missouri State University with degrees earned in both 2000 and 2002.
