Later that day, at 17:53 UTC, Burlison commented on media coverage regarding allegations of Russian collusion: "The media pushed Russia collusion lies without evidence and the same people still hold the same jobs at the same networks. https://t.co/KIWgmZeFbF".
Eric Burlison began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding Billy Long as representative for Missouri's 7th district. Before joining Congress, he served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature between 2009 and 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976, Burlison resides in Ozark and is an alumnus of Missouri State University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 2000 and earned another degree two years later.
