Rep. Eric Burlison, who has represented Missouri’s 7th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing topics ranging from political transparency to election integrity and gun rights. Burlison, who succeeded Billy Long and previously served in both chambers of the Missouri legislature, commented on current political events and policy debates.
On July 15, 2025, Rep. Burlison expressed appreciation for a fellow legislator's stance on transparency: "Thank you @RepRalphNorman for standing up for truth and transparency."
Later that day, he criticized Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred's decision regarding the location of the All-Star Game four years prior: "Four years ago, @MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred caved to the radical left and ripped the All-Star Game out of Atlanta because Georgia dared to make it harder to cheat in elections."
In another post on July 15, Burlison addressed federal firearms regulation: "Imagine life without the ATF stomping on your Second Amendment rights. Let’s get to that day."
Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. He holds two degrees from Missouri State University (BA 2000; additional degree 2002). Before joining Congress, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023.
