Eric Burlison, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Missouri’s 7th district, has recently commented on various national issues through his social media posts. Burlison, who succeeded Billy Long in Congress in 2023 and previously served in both the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, addressed topics ranging from American innovation to federal education policy.
On July 14, 2025, Burlison highlighted advancements in American industry and energy sectors. He stated: "The future is being built in America. From advanced manufacturing to next-gen nuclear, American innovators are driving a new era of energy and industry. The revitalization of this country is happening. Washington needs to get out of the way. Excellent site visits with https://t.co/vhJsdOsbpE".
Later that day, Burlison raised concerns regarding the investigation into the attempted assassination of former President Trump. He wrote: "It’s been a FULL YEAR since the attempted assassination of President Trump… and we still know NOTHING about Thomas Crooks. No manifesto. No background. No motive. No real answers."
On July 15, 2025, Burlison criticized the Department of Education (DOE), calling for its dissolution and increased parental control over education decisions: "The DOE doesn’t educate kids. It funds failure and fuels indoctrination. Time to END this federal disaster and put parents back in charge."
Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and resides in Ozark. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Missouri State University.
