Eric Burlison, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 7th district, has taken to social media to express his views on various national issues. Burlison succeeded Billy Long in 2023 and has a history of political service within Missouri, having served in both the House of Representatives and Senate before his congressional role.

On July 8, 2025, Burlison posted on social media criticizing the concept of "strategic deportations," which he referred to as "amnesty lite for certain industries." He stated, "If you broke the law to get here, you must leave. Deport them all."

Later that day, Burlison commented on the decision-making capabilities of the executive branch concerning its payroll with a brief remark: "The executive branch can actually make decisions about its own payroll. What a concept."

Continuing his online engagement, Burlison questioned accountability within government actions and crime resolution. He asked, "How long do we have to wait for someone to be held accountable for weaponizing our own government against us? How many high-profile crimes will go unpunished?"

Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. He is an alumnus of Missouri State University where he completed his undergraduate education.
