The Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Research Department and the Missouri Memory Center will conduct free memory screenings on February 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is scheduled at the Polk County Library, located at 1690 W. Broadway St., in Bolivar. Doors will open at 1 p.m., followed by a brief presentation by Dr. Curtis P. Schreiber at 1:15 p.m.

The screening process is expected to take about 30 minutes per participant. Those who attend will receive their screening results after the event.

Medicare advises that individuals aged 65 and older undergo annual screenings for cognitive impairment. It is also recommended that younger adults with relevant concerns or symptoms participate in these screenings, as early detection of cognitive issues is essential for timely intervention and planning.

For additional details about the CMH Research Department or the Missouri Memory Center, interested parties can call 417-328-7781.
