Russell Davis, D.O., affiliated with Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Nephrology Clinic in Bolivar, has achieved board certification in nephrology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Davis became part of the CMH medical staff in August 2024.
The process to obtain board certification in nephrology requires prior certification in internal medicine, completion of a fellowship in nephrology, and passing a comprehensive certification exam.
Dr. Davis obtained his medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Lynchburg, Virginia. His residency was completed at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, focusing on internal medicine-pediatrics. He further pursued a nephrology fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.
His expertise includes diagnosing and treating various kidney-related conditions such as acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, cystic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy, high blood pressure, kidney stones, kidney infections, end-stage renal disease, and urinary tract infections.
