Eric Burlison, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 7th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. Having replaced Billy Long in 2023, Burlison brings a background of legislative experience from his previous roles in the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate.

On June 18, 2025, Burlison expressed support for former President Trump’s diplomatic approach towards Iran. He stated that "President Trump has continuously demonstrated great patience to avoid a major escalation." Burlison believes Trump should have the opportunity to negotiate and seek an end to Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Later that day, Burlison shared an update regarding firearm regulations. He announced that he had contributed to securing language aimed at ending taxes on suppressors and noted further developments by the Senate. According to him, "Their version of the 'big bill' would eliminate the 100-year-old tax on SBRs, SBSs, AOWs & more." He described this as a significant victory.

In another post on June 18, Burlison criticized Democrats in Congress over their handling of information about Joe Biden's health during his presidency. He accused them of misleading the public by stating "Democrats in Congress spent four years lying to the American people about Joe Biden’s condition."

Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and resides in Ozark. He holds degrees from Missouri State University and has served in various political capacities since 2009.
