Rep. Eric Burlison, currently serving Missouri's 7th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on social media regarding recent events that he describes as far from peaceful protests. On June 6, 2025, Burlison shared a tweet containing links but did not provide additional commentary or context at the time here.

On June 9, 2025, Burlison expressed strong opinions about ongoing demonstrations, stating: "This is not a 'peaceful' protest, this is an invasion. These criminals should be arrested, vetted, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law." This statement reflects his firm stance on maintaining law and order.

Later that day, Burlison further elaborated on his views by criticizing certain actions taken during these protests. He tweeted: "There’s nothing 'peaceful' about blocking freeways, setting Waymo self-driving cars on fire, hurling Molotov cocktails, and throwing rocks at law enforcement." His comments highlight his concerns over safety and property damage.

Eric Burlison was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1976 and currently resides in Ozark. Having graduated from Missouri State University with a BA in 2000 and again in 2002 with another degree from the same institution, he began his political career serving in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and then moved to the Missouri Senate until he assumed his current role in Congress in 2023.
