Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri has expressed his approval following President Trump's announcement of judicial nominees for the Eastern District of Missouri. The nominees include Hon. Cristian Stevens, Maria Lanahan, Zachary Bluestone, and Joshua Divine, who will also serve in the Western District.
In a statement, Senator Schmitt remarked on the significance of these appointments: “I am thrilled that President Trump’s first slate of judicial nominees will serve the Eastern District of Missouri. All four nominees worked for me in the Missouri Attorney General’s office and together we fought each day for Missourians across our state."
He further emphasized President Trump's impact on the judiciary during his previous term: "President Trump’s historic transformation of our federal judiciary was among the greatest successes of his first term, and with these well qualified, proven nominees President Trump is continuing that legacy.”
The nominations are part of an ongoing effort to shape the federal judiciary with individuals considered by supporters to be highly qualified.
