The deadline to apply for a pre-development review in Springfield, MO, will change to Fridays at 5 p.m. effective May 31, announced Deputy City Manager Maurice Jones. Starting from this date, applications received by the new deadline will be reviewed within eight business days and discussed with applicants the following Wednesday. A pre-development review is a free, informal meeting held before the formal application/permit process to provide a general overview of the proposed development, application requirements, design standards, alternatives, necessary permits, and approval process. To request a pre-development review, applicants can visit https://ecity.springfieldmo.gov/submit-record.

“This extension will enable our team to provide more insightful and project-specific feedback, improving the overall quality of our interactions with applicants. We believe that this adjustment will contribute to a more efficient and effective pre-development process,” stated Maurice Jones.
