Adam Wainwright is set to headline a concert at Springfield's Hammons Field on Friday, May 31, making it the largest non-baseball event in the venue's history. The St. Louis Cardinals Legend, who has transitioned into a country music artist, will take the stage in what is expected to be a memorable performance.
Springfield Mayor Ken McClure expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, stating, "We look forward to seeing another side of Adam Wainwright at this sure-to-be-fun concert and are thrilled that he is the first performer in what we hope will be a long history of exciting concerts at your Hammons Field."
Executive Director Erin Danastasio of the Hatch Foundation also shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, "Hatch is so excited to be partnering with the Springfield Cardinals to bring outdoor concerts to our community. We believe that this is a great, innovative way to use this asset, and we can’t wait to see the field filled with Wainwright’s fans!"
The concert will feature on-field seating near second base, offering attendees a unique opportunity to experience Wainwright's performance up close. Gates will open at 6:05 pm, with the show starting at 7:05 pm and an opening act to be announced at a later date.
Pre-sale tickets for RED Access Members will be available starting on Wednesday, April 10, with general public ticket sales commencing on Friday, April 12. Ticket options will vary, with prices starting at $25.50.
This event marks a significant moment for both the Springfield community and Adam Wainwright, as he takes on a new role as a headlining musical act at the historic Hammons Field.
