Ozarkers are gearing up once more for the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival as organizers unveil the exciting lineup for the 2024 event. The festival promises a diverse range of entertainment and activities for attendees of all ages.
The festival's second annual "Great Route 66 Talent Search" presents an opportunity for local talents to shine, with organizers from KY3/KSPR/CW and the City of Springfield seeking individuals aged 18 and above who have the potential to captivate audiences. As stated by the organizers, participants may even catch the attention of industry professionals scouting for the next big star.
Kicking off the festivities will be the Rockin' the Route 66 Kickoff Concert featuring the renowned Emerald City Band, set to take place on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. The event will mark the beginning of a weekend filled with entertainment and fun.
The musical lineup for the festival includes a variety of performers such as Skyler Weimer, Springtown 66, the Mixtapes, Machine Gun Symphony, Harper Atkins, Matt Brown, Dan Conklin Band, Midwest Thick, Jake Stringer, Dirty Saints, and Sixwire. These talented acts are sure to keep the audience entertained throughout the event.
In addition to the musical performances, attendees can look forward to a range of activities including a car show, Charity Bike Show, Gypsy Tour Poker Run, parades, expos, and more. The festival will also feature the Women’s World Expo at the Shrine, the Authors, Artists, Collectors & Associations expo at The Old Glass Place, and tours of the Birthplace of Route 66 Gallery.
