BURN BAN IN EFFECT 10/17/2022
The Polk County Commissioners has enacted a burn ban effective until further notice for all of Polk County
Open burning is completely restricted. Fires only allowed in grills and designated fire pits.
This will be enforced and fines can be incurred.
We do reccomend no fires at all, and to be cautious with grilling. Also avoid any spark producing activities such as outdoor welding, grinding, shooting, and ensure trailer chains are secured. Also do not throw out cigarette butts.
