Polk County Health Center - PCHC Staff Recognized the Importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Today by Wearing Their Pink Attire

PCHC staff recognized the importance of breast cancer awareness today by wearing their PINK attire, decorating with pink balloons and handing out pink ribbon cookies!

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports breast cancer as the fourth highest incidence and mortality rate among cancers.  Women in Missouri get breast cancer more than any other type of cancer except for skin cancer.

Breast cancer is more likely to occur as a woman ages. It occurs more often in white women than in black women, but black women die from breast cancer more often than white women.

PCHC offers screenings for women ages 35-64 with no insurance through Show-Me Healthy Women.  Call us today to find out more! 417.326.7250
