The town of Turners in Greene County has been nominated for the nonprofit Missouri Humanities’ Small Town Showcase.
The program strives to highlight the uniqueness of small towns in Missouri and ensure they don’t go overlooked, overshadowed, or underappreciated.
The 133-year-old town is the only one in Greene County to be nominated for the award and is also the smallest with a population of three. It will compete against 41 other nominations across the state for an opportunity to tell its story and market what it has to offer to a larger audience.
Citizens can vote for Turners at this website: https://mohumanities.org/2023-featured-five/. Voting will end on July 1, 2022.
