Graduates earn 56 degrees from Baptist Bible College

About 78.6 percent of the 56 degrees and certificates handed out by Baptist Bible College in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Springfield conferred 30 bachelor's degrees and 13 master's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in pastoral studies/counseling. Data shows the school gave out 18 bachelor's degrees in pastoral studies/counseling, followed by 9 bachelor's degrees in missions/missionary studies and missiology and 9 master's degrees in "other" pastoral counseling and specialized ministries.

The college enrolled 256 students for 2017-18, including 238 in undergraduate programs and 18 in graduate programs.
