Brooklyn Bushnell joins Dallas County Family Medical Center as new school-based therapist

Dallas County Family Medical Center and Citizens Memorial Hospital have announced that Brooklyn Bushnell, LMSW, has joined their medical staff. Bushnell is a licensed master social worker who will be part of the school-based therapy team for the Dallas County R-1 School District.

Bushnell will provide on-site counseling and therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade during regular school hours. Her work focuses on helping students manage issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, as well as behavioral challenges including aggression, defiance, ADHD, anger, risky behaviors, suicidal ideations, self-harm, substance use, and bullying.

Appointments with Bushnell can also be scheduled outside of regular school hours and during summer months at Dallas County Family Medical Center. The center accepts most major insurance plans and offers financial assistance for those in need.

Prior to this role, Bushnell worked as a behavioral health consultant at Citizens Memorial Hospital and served as a psychiatric social worker at CoxHealth in Springfield. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Master of Social Work from Missouri State University in Springfield.
