Yesterday, Greene County Deputies responded to a past burglary at a residence in the 2300 Block of West Norton Road. Several pieces of equipment and tools were stolen from inside the home. During the investigation a Greene County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F150 in the area of the burglary. During the traffic stop, the Deputy discovered several items taken from the nearby burglary.

Three suspects, all occupants of a nearby illegal encampment were arrested in relation to the residential burglary. Formal charges are pending.

“Criminal activity in the areas surrounding illegal camps is pervasive and often difficult to solve, due to the transient nature of the suspects. I am proud of my deputies who, through good law enforcement work and instinct were able to solve this burglary and return the stolen property to the rightful owner.” - Sheriff Arnott
