Springfield City Council to hold public hearing on HUD funds and consolidated plan Jan. 9

The City Council and the Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD) will conduct a joint public hearing on January 9 to discuss plans for using funds in fiscal year 2025, which runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The hearing will also address the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Consolidated Plan for the years 2025-2029. The event is scheduled to take place at the Springfield Regional Police and Fire Training Center at 2620 W. Battlefield Road, starting at 6 p.m.

The agenda includes discussion of the Community Development Block Grant program, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and proposed activities for both the upcoming fiscal year and the five-year period covering fiscal years 2025 through 2029. After presentations are made, attendees will have an opportunity to provide comments.
