Rep. Eric Burlison, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district, posted a series of tweets on July 24, 2025, addressing topics ranging from government spending to the passing of Hulk Hogan.
In his first tweet at 15:19 UTC, Burlison wrote, “This is the way.”
Later that day at 15:29 UTC, he criticized government practices regarding taxpayer money and foreign aid, stating, “Only in Washington do taxpayers get lectured for not being “virtuous” enough—while the system demands you work harder and sacrifice more so it can send your money overseas. Are you paying attention yet?”
At 15:59 UTC, Burlison paid tribute to Hulk Hogan with the message: “Hulk Hogan loved America. He loved President Trump. Rest in peace, brother.”
Eric Burlison has served as the representative for Missouri’s 7th District since 2023 after succeeding Billy Long. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and served in the Missouri Senate from 2019 to 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds degrees from Missouri State University earned in both 2000 and 2002.
