Polk County Sheriff’s deputies made several arrests and responded to various incidents on February 27, 2026. A 26-year-old man from Pittsburg, Missouri was booked and released for driving while intoxicated. In a separate case, a 30-year-old woman was booked and released for possession of a controlled substance.

Throughout the day, deputies conducted multiple traffic stops in different areas including Hwy 13/E 515th Rd. in Brighton; Hwy 13/E 425th Rd., E Broadway St/N Pomme De Terre Ave., Hwy D/E 398th Rd., S Boston Pl/E San Martin St., and Hwy 13/Hwy KK in Bolivar; as well as the 2100 block of Hwy 32 in Halfway.

Deputies also responded to reports of suspicious activity at the 3400 block of S 30th Rd. in Humansville and the 1500 block of E 464th Rd. in Bolivar. Property damage was reported at the 4700 block of S 135th Rd. in Bolivar, while a theft call came from the 4800 block of S 127Rd. in Bolivar.

Other incidents included a threat report at the 600 block of S Ohio St. in Humansville, a dispute in progress at the 3700 block of S 21st Rd. in Dunnegan, and disturbances at E 566th Rd/S 166th Rd. in Brighton.

Law enforcement provided medical assistance at two locations: the 5600 block of S 166th Rd. in Brighton and the 2000 block of Hwy 64th in Halfway. An agency assist occurred at the 1700 block of E 380th Rd. in Bolivar.

A trespassing report was addressed by deputies at the 5100 block of S120th Rd. in Morrisville.
