The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests and incidents on April 15, including warrants, parole violations, and a range of calls for service across the county.
The report lists the arrest of Charles Hawthorne, age 55 from Bolivar, on a warrant related to a traffic offense. David Orrell, age 40 from Flemington, was also arrested for a parole violation. In addition, deputies booked a 35-year-old male on a 24-hour hold for unlawful use of a weapon.
Deputies responded to multiple calls throughout the day. These included domestic disputes in Brighton and Humansville, road hazards in Flemington, trespassing complaints in Aldrich and Bolivar, as well as agency assists in Bolivar and Aldrich. Other responses involved well-being checks in Bolivar, juvenile complaints in Bolivar, burglary-in-progress reports on Highway D near Bolivar, theft calls in Brighton, disputes in Halfway, reports of careless or imprudent driving near Halfway, child endangerment concerns in Dunnegan, motorist assists near Bolivar,
and several traffic stops at various locations around Bolivar.
Additional incidents handled by deputies included responding to an intoxicated subject call in Brighton and handling two separate hang-up emergency calls—one from Pleasant Hope and another from south of Bolivar.
