Conference USA has announced its 2025 Preseason Watch List, featuring five student-athletes from each of the conference’s 12 member institutions. Missouri State University’s honorees include quarterback Jacob Clark, wide receiver Jmariyae Robinson, defensive lineman Davon Townley Jr., offensive lineman Cash Hudson, and placekicker Yousef Obeid.
Jacob Clark finished 14th in Walter Payton Award voting last season and earned first-team All-MVFC honors. He completed the 2024 season with a .697 passing percentage for 3,604 yards and led the MVFC in multiple categories. “Clark led the MVFC in completions per game, passing yards, passing yards per game and total offense,” stated a release.
Jmariyae Robinson caught 38 receptions for 585 yards last season and was recognized for his performance against Murray State. “Robinson earned the MSU Offensive Grinder Award for the team’s road win at Murray State,” according to Missouri State.
Davon Townley Jr., who transferred from Penn State, contributed significantly on defense during his first season at Missouri State. “He earned MSU Defensive Grinder of the Game for the Bears’ win at Northern Iowa,” highlighted a team statement.
Cash Hudson was acknowledged as a second-team All-MVFC offensive lineman after starting most games at center last year. The coaching staff praised him with high assignment grades throughout the season.
Yousef Obeid excelled as a kicker in his debut collegiate season with notable accuracy both on extra points and field goals. His field goal percentage ranked third nationally.
The Conference USA football season will begin on August 23 with WKU hosting Sam Houston. The league’s championship game is scheduled for December 5.
Missouri State enters its first Conference USA season under Coach Ryan Beard after finishing last year with an impressive record in their final FCS campaign. Single-game tickets are available through various outlets including online purchases.
