Rep. Eric Burlison, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 7th district since 2023, posted a series of statements on July 25, 2025, addressing the national debt and the future of nuclear technology in the United States.

In his first post at 15:12 UTC, Burlison commented on fiscal policy, stating, “The OBBB isn’t magic We are still $37 trillion in debt. Failure to take radical action to pay down the deficit will send our nation into a fiscal spiral.”

Later that afternoon at 16:15 UTC, he turned his attention to energy and technological leadership: “America once led the world in nuclear technology. The next century will depend on energy to power manufacturing, robotics, AI, and the innovations that define the future.”

In an evening post at 18:30 UTC, Burlison focused on advancements in nuclear energy safety: “Nuclear technology is safe. Microreactors rely on modern designs and advanced fuel, not the materials that created fear decades ago. The future of clean energy is here today.”

Burlison has been active in public service for over a decade. Before joining Congress in 2023—replacing Billy Long—he served in both chambers of Missouri’s state legislature between 2009 and 2023. Born in Springfield in 1976 and currently residing in Ozark, Burlison holds two degrees from Missouri State University.

His recent comments reflect ongoing national debates about government spending and energy innovation as lawmakers confront longstanding economic challenges while seeking sustainable solutions for America’s future.
