Citizens Memorial Hospital and the CMH Heart Institute Clinic announced on March 19 the addition of Brandon Barnes, FNP-C, to their medical staff.
The announcement highlights a continued effort by the clinic to strengthen its cardiology services for patients in Bolivar and surrounding areas.
Barnes joins a team that includes John F. Best, M.D., Dishang Bhavsar, M.D., David J. Lemons, D.O., Haris Riaz, M.D., and Jared Martin, FNP-BC. The group provides care for a range of heart conditions at the CMH Heart Institute Clinic located at 1500 N. Oakland Ave. in Bolivar.
According to the hospital’s statement, Barnes holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Cox College in Springfield. He is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Barnes brings six years of nursing experience from Mercy and Cox hospitals in Springfield. Most recently he worked as a cardiothoracic scrub nurse at Cox Medical Center South.
