Citizens Memorial Hospital and Southside Medical Center have announced that Kendra Vlieger, PMHNP-BC, has joined their medical staff as a certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner.

Vlieger received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Cox College in Springfield. She holds certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Vlieger brings more than six years of nursing experience to the position. Her previous work includes serving as a registered nurse at Cox Health, where she worked in the medical-surgical department, the medical intensive care unit (MICU), and the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). She also completed psychiatric clinical rotations with Jessica Locke, PMHNP-BC, at the CMH Behavioral Health Transitional Clinic.

At Southside Medical Center, Vlieger provides mental health services for patients ages 18 and older. Her expertise covers diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, medication management, and care for individuals with conditions such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, panic disorders, and other mental health concerns.
